You can always count on a friend or brother to visit their most nefarious ideas on you. I remember when I was about ten and my brother Shawn got a junior electronics set, you know the one with the springs attached to a board and a bunch on wires that you can hook together all over the board to make different experiments? Usually, these are designed to work on a small battery so that the young person doing said experiments couldn’t hurt themselves too bad, the most you could really do is light up a small light bulb. My brother however had a little more ingenuity than I could hope for and juiced it up a little more that was regulated, and made a lie detector. Well, I had nothing to hide, sure I’ll help test it. First question, “Do you like girls?” (remember we were kids, I think that’s the default question). Of course I answered “yes”. To which my brother replied “LIAR!” pushed a button and sent a charge of electricity through me that made my hair stand on end (of course I’m just guessing on the effect as I couldn’t see it). Never let your brother hook anything electrical up to you, even if it looks harmless.
