Before this weeks normal blog, I would would first like to take this moment to send out my deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the victims of the senseless violence this past week at Virginia Tech. My and my families prayers go out to you, you are in our hearts.

On with the blog. I realize that voting is not based on a rating type system and so this doesn’t make a whole heap of sense but there was a very specific reason that I did it this way. I have my comic posted at a site that, until very recently, had a rating system so that strips could be rated and this would help let syndicates know whether or not people were responding well to a particular strip. Unfortunately, as with any good thing there are people who like to ruin it for everybody. There were a couple of guys that, instead of relying on their own talent, would go out and vote everybody with 1’s and would give themselves 5’s affecting the accuracy of the system. I created this strip to try and shame them when they came in to give me my 1 for that day (not that I’m absolutely sure they even read any of the strips, they did this to a lot of strips so they might not have had the time). I’m guessing that even if they did read it they probably would have never made the connection anyway so it probably doesn’t matter. Anyway, the site has since removed the rating system so it’s kind of a moot point anyway, but I kept the strip because I still thought it was funny and is a nice lead in to the end of the political season for Dufus’ World, plus I still have this hope that maybe the perpetrators will read it anyway and will realize we all knew what they were doing.
