Supposed To Keep Me OUT…
Sunday, June 3rd, 2007I remember the first experience I had with a treadmill. I remembered to keep my feet on the sides when I turned it on, but I wasn’t thinking when I put my foot down for the first time, it was almost disastrous. I went backward pretty fast and barely caught myself. I’ll be honest, I wish I could have seen it, I would have laughed until I was blue in the face. Of course since I was me at the time, I wasn’t laughing, I was looking around to see if anybody else saw it. On the plus side however, the purpose of getting on the treadmill before a workout is to get your heart rate up to help in the exercise process. And I’ll tell you what, my heart rate went up lickety split.
What’s really surprising, is that I was more embarrassed about almost shooting off the back of the treadmill than I was about publicly exhibiting my gerbil like tendencies by running the treadmill and yet going nowhere. Go figure.
